Lines 1 and 15 tell you how many pieces you have on a certain SPIKE. In our
previous example SPIKE 2 has two pieces on it. Notice the 2 on the very
top line. The 0 in the middle of the line 1 (between spikes 6 and 7) have
the number of pieces on the BAR for player X. Likewise the middle number
on line 15 between SPIKES 18 and 20 have the number of pieces on the BAR for
the O player. Here O has 2 pieces on the BAR.

Lines 2 thru 14 are the actual playing board. On the far right of
lines 14 and 1. Just above and below the 0s are the number of pieces that
Player X and Player O have taken HOME.
Also far right are these symbols:
■ ■ ■
■ ■ 8
■ ■ , ■, and .
The first two symbols are the dice rolls. A five and three have been rolled.
The 8 bewteen the two rolls is the current number reflected by the
DOUBLING CUBE.
Entering Moves:
Entering moves is very simple. Just enter the SPIKE number you want to move
the piece off of, a dash, and then the SPIKE number you want to move the
piece to. Use a 'b', or 'B' to move pieces off the bar, and a 'h', or 'H'
to move pieces home.
Examples:
14-15 10-12
In this example the player has moved a piece from SPIKE number 14 to SPIKE
number 15. On his second move he moved a piece from SPIKE 10 to SPIKE 12.
Notice that multiple moves are separated by a space.
b-5 b-6
In this example the player is simply moving pieces off the BAR and on to
SPIKEs 5 and 6.
3-h 1-h
In the last example the player is moving pieces off SPIKEs 1 and 3 to HOME.
Thats it! I hope you enjoy Tounament BBS Backgammon as much as I enjoyed
writing it!
